Okay um, this is crazy. Reading the comments were a big eye opener cuz i was confused, i really thought fhat he was just living the life in the novel buf it didn't occur to me that this is his real reality and the memories of him being in college were from a different reality. So that explains why Iheon knows most of the things he wanted, like going to the beach and sum.
