The main character's name starts with a D and he was a 3rd circle mage I think in his past life, he died fighting a monster with his comrades to save the world and returned back to his younger days and now he's stronger using basic magic techniques and his past knowledge. As far as i know, japan has become more strict with their copyright policies and became more active in preventing piracy of their works. While doujinshis are very niche and far too many inbetween to translate all.
Alao becuase manhwa and manhuas has been picking up popularity. So a lot of companies are mass producing content after pandemic. So it became so saturated here with those

It probably is lack of translators. I was on a searching spree for djs for a specific series and saw how many were still in Japanese. We need a new wave of translators to keep the mangas flowing here ╥﹏╥
Fr i was a big manga fans too. But Ig i got so used to full-collored arts and loving how pretty they are, going back to black and white is a bit... jarring. Also, i feel myself starting to get tired when reading panels and speech bubbles pilled up on top of eo the way manga style always is.
I only read manga when it's the old, popular manga I grew up with. That and Doujinshi.
