STOP HATING ON HATING ON THEM! Chase is not being forced into that relationship and neither is Joel. They age gap is big but they still love each other. My parents have a huge age gap but the reason they are married isn’t because they were forced into it. For age I think people under 10 shouldn’t be reading these kind of things but if you any older that that DEPENDING on how you grew/grow up it may be different. I’m only 13 and have been reading these types of stories for over a year. I grew up and still growing up in a house where none of us are properly taken care of and are often aloud to watch these sort of things. I HAVE NOT told my parents that I read these bl and I don’t plan to, but they do know about the type of anime I like they just show no interest in it. After being abused for the most part of my life these sort of stories (Some not all) help me cope with a few things.
I believe that age doesn’t necessarily matter more of how they grow up, as people who have grown up with a different setting may start reading these at 20 or maybe 9 who knows.

I started reading BL when i was in middle school which seems really young to me now. For me yea I dont think kids under 10 should be reading this, they might think this stuff is normal. In my opinion kids that young should not have to worry about these type of sexual relationship. During my time in middle school kids would be getting it on in 6th grade fresh out of elementary which turns my stomach. To think about it scares me to think some of these kids dont fully understand what they are doing and if they where pushed into it.
I think in time you'll come to understand that, while you're right that everyone comes at this kind of thing differently, it still doesn't make it okay that you were exposed to such things at such a young age. You probably think that you're mature enough to understand this kind of stuff, I thought the same when I was 13, but this kind of thing can alter the way you feel about love and sex for years onward, something I'm still working out as an adult. It's 18+ for a reason. If what you say is true, then I'm sorry to hear that that's your situation, please reach out to a trusted adult, a school counselor, CPS, anything. But using what is pretty much porn with a plot as a coping mechanism at 13 isn't healthy either. Please seek help if you can get it. :(

Sorry luv. I am very much an legal adult and have brought forth a child into this world who is older than you. As an adult and parent, I feel it is not appropriate for you to read stories like these at your age. I'm no prude nor was I strict with my daughter. I was actually the one who introduced her to anime (but that's another story) Skitskat24 pretty much said everything I would've and I do hope you seek help and find peace in your life. I grew up with an abusive alcoholic parent. So I do empathize.
I’m sorry if I may have upset you! I don’t think it is good for me either but I’m not in the best mental state and neither is my family so when I do talk to them about it they normally just say it’s a normal thing. I have tried to see school consolers and I felt to uncomfortable so I didn’t continue talking to them about it. But eventually I did get a friend that has helped me a lot but it is now something I do on a daily therefore I don’t think I could stop reading it. My father is homophobic and living with a trans brother made it even worse and reading these kind of help me get away from my family’s hate. I normally don’t actually read the 18+ ones and often only read small cuter ones which I normally find on WEBTOON. (⌒▽⌒)
I agree completely, and I have no actual attraction to sexual interactions and often find them gross and try to avoid all of that in general! But that’s why I read BL it literally goes over all possibilities as well as the bad and good ones. But I don’t plan on having any sexual feelings/interactions for awhile
