If their dynamic was like chap 49 from the start, this would have been a 10x better story. It could probably reach the emotional tragedy level of Pearl Boy where one of them keeps doing these dangerous things to keep the other (who has experienced traumatic things) safe. They could have had this level of communication with each other from the start, that they're just scared and worried if any one gets hurt. To stop the self destruction. But nooo, we had to have a manipulative, obsessive, rapist seme and a dumbass uke. Uke was doing great in the start but Sehan suddenly got a boo boo and so did Chaon's brain I guess. Simplified Pervert and Low Tide in Twilight showed better ways in dealing the self-harm.

Yeahhh... I couldn't finish it. The plot was going well but I had enough of this "reverse grooming" type shiiz. I actually loved when uke reprimanded the seme being unprofessional and how livid he was when he discovered how he was denied a normal, functioning life for 11 years. It was the proper logical reaction but then "oh no seme is in danger again let us self sabotage and live like a manipulated idiot after all this is done." Look, you can save him, be worried about him, have him guide you sometimes, but keep the boundaries distinct and your beliefs consistent. There was no connection and chemistry between them at all for me. Uke was deeply traumatized and the healing session was anticlimactic like it was just any other Tuesday. It hit him more emotionally when he TRIED to get it healed. He was devastated and seme just uses it as chain to bind uke to him. Right up until he was fighting the boss plant monster, maybe until he got his revenge and got guided, story was 8/10. Everything after that was industrial waste.

All I can say is when this started, I knew my heart was gonna break for Taeha. They actually seemed like a relationship in the works and then he just gets cut off.
I left this to marinate for almost a year and dare I say I never really followed the plot but S3 started and man did my barin go into hyperdrive. Everything made sense and nonsense at the same time. Very entertaining and we get to see such affection between Seth and Horus.
