We never get any hint as to how old the alpha is but the age gap is at least 12-15 years. Probably bigger. Which is an issue because they met when the omega was 6. But they do like and treasure each other a lot.
The worldbuilding is rather dark and this is the probably the most healthy the story could have gone considering that so I am putting it here. Still slightly uncomfortable about what might or might not be grooming.
