I was wondering about that too, like why even fight for custody of his child when he just treats him like absolute shit. I wish he would've told his mom, or even tell her now how the dad has been abusing him for years cuz I feel like that definitely could help her win custody back. It's just awful he was forced to stay with the abusive parent, like I know his mother was absent a lot but still.
