This is so real. A manhwa i read has like 8.6 rating and i rlly love the plot its based on romeo and juliet but a completely different concept and has no romance. Im literally forever mourning how its rated so low cuz of that, i never trusted mgg ratings (￣∇￣")

tbh this has been the case for a long while now lol, i would argue the opposite is true as well, where a manga/manhwa that’s just meh has a really high rating. Eventually I just decide to read if I like the art and the premise is interesting, then give it a few chapters to decide if its worth continuing

FUCK I know exactly what you're talking about, it's literally SO GOOD, but I think what's happened is that it's accidentally attracted the wrong audience due to the art style and premise.

Romance fans see a cute art style and the fact that it's Romeo and Juliet, and click to read expecting such, where as mystery/action fans skip over it because they don't want romance. Despite the work literally being geared more towards a mystery/thriller.

The character designs def have flaws and the start is REALLY confusing and off-putting, but once you power through to when the deuteragonist meets Romeo, it will be a GOOD read. Made me sob in class.

no yeah I usually only read things that are 9.0 or above but then I see some extremely toxic stuff sitting at 9.4 and raise an eyebrow

Ratings have always been weird here xD they change with whatever is in trend, never pointing the real quality of anything.
That's why you might want to start reading the synopsis first and judge if you want to dig in or not, instead looking at the rating first. I've encountered gems under 9.0, but i agree that if the rating is way too low... well the work in question might be real bad lol

That's happens with me when I use my uni wifi to access mgg( they have some sort of ad blocker/anti virus typa shit ,it also restricts me from using certain site, i suppose the sites that collects data or so ) but mgg loads fine af with my phone's internet connection ,never had this problem with my phone's internet.anyways In summary it's not your connection not the site.
