im looking for something substantial where the ML simply doesnt just fall in love with the FL bc she’s the FL or where the FL somehow just comes out victorious in whatever clash she may have… like is this a light read or not? I just came from reading How To Protect The Female Lead’s Older Brother thus the standard is a bit high

i kinda like the story? maybe bc of how there are still a lot of things that are unclear, it kinda leaves me curious and wanting to know more. Plus, the scenes between the mc and kun are just (づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ

Growing up as nobility doesnt really make emotionally smart nor mature ppl. In the first timeline, Tia was thought of to be a cold and emotionless woman mostly because she didn’t really know how to express herself out loud. She was expected to be things and all that went down the drain when an anonymous woman appeared snatching up her first love. Let’s not forget she was raped, lost her child and then executed for a crime she didn’t do - all at the age of 17. She isn’t the strongest nor the most compelling mc but i think that’s what makes her special - her willingness to try. She tried hard to change her fate, albeit her methods were not so effective and now she’s in a predicament she doesn’t want. She’s still weak, insecure and scared because of all the things that has happened to her. She has only learned how to smile recently but she’s still comparing her present to her past (not rlly obvious in the manhwa but in the novel she does). What’s important is to see how tia heals from her trauma and become more emotionally stronger - whoever helps her with that deserves to be with her.

the scene in the novel is supposedly longer, showing how much the prince respects tia’s wishes... there was even a part where they were eatiing and tia asked “why dont you go to jieun?” and ruve answers “why should i?” but i think they left that out so that it leaves the readers more curious about how things may unfold

While people are busy hating on the prince or jieun, I think we should also consider the MC and her feelings. I see that some are saying that tia is kinda stupid especially bc she looks as if she likes the prince. But looking at things as they are, it seems more like aristia has written off finding love. She even rejected Allen even though she had an idea of how much he treasured her. She's still in the dark about carsein and he's not as active as Allen was so lets put that aside for now. We also have the prince. All her interactions with the prince aren't really those of love and yearning. It's more like she gets surprised every time he makes a move on her or treats her kindly. Yes, she has also warmed up to him but she still gets scared - proving that she does not truly trust the prince. We saw that in the latest chapter, when she saw ruve out in the night. She still doesn't want anything to do with the prince (also the reason why she choose to wear the crest of her house). He also understands that and even respects her wishes to become the heir of her house by rejecting his father's suggestion to make tia the empress and jieun the queen. So I think its kinda early to really judge the characters as they have yet to really flesh out, especially when the 'villain' has just arrived.

Anyone who dares lay a hand on our precious mc will better run!! Especially u jieun and duke zena!! She's not as innocent as we all thought. Better keep an eye on that duke too ヾ(`ヘ´)ノ゙
