Im really intrigued by the image of brett holding the goose while stained in black goo. Does anyone know wht kind of symbolic is that???

uk how as a child the blond kid (that got bullied and later shot Hayden was friends with brett) rly liked birds? that was the bird brett killed and gifted him, which made the kid cry. To brett it was kind of traumatizing, it’s the moment he realized he was fundamentally different from others (lacking empathy) and his actions can rly scare and deter people away from him… so in that scene with hayden, brett saw his reactions and assumed that now hayden is also afraid of brett (basically recalling that memory).. and since brett kinda has attachment issues, he ended the relationship so he wouldn’t get hurt right then and there. The black goo is prob something like his feelings that he buries inside.. that’s my interpretation of this chapter anyway XD I think this scene was rly well done and I’m glad hayden sees through brett so well

Just read up to chapter 22, but the cult, cannibalism, higher up, etc have mentioned in this story is mind blowing real. It’s like constantly raise awareness that I tend to look away from reality, and quitely hoping a fictional character can fix that problem for me. Remind me how much of a hypocrite I am
The redemption arc is toooo sweeeet
