What i think would actually be interesting is having a manwha with depth, morally grey characters and dark plot without it being a glorified overly toxic relationship. That sort of storyline is quite possible but very rarely done. That would be more interesting than the author using abuse as a plot device don’t you think?

the fact that you genuinely don’t see the issue is mind boggling. I’m tempted to ask how old you are but i doubt you’d admit it honestly, but i can tell you’re young.
But listen, almost everyone who uses this website is a freak of some kind, and i’m sure almost everyone who’s replied to you before has read some dark shit. Which is why i think you really need to grasp that if there’s multiple weirdos telling you that YOU are weird, then there’s an issue and something is in fact wrong.

They most likely have very serious underlying issu (not a diss, just medical fact) OR they had issues from a serious past/history. I realize a lot of people who a desensitized to this/get boredom otherwise have a serious reason. They will prob not seek help from comments under a page that promotes abuse in stories.

In the first place, a story is just a story. Finding abuse and rape interesting topics in a narrative isn’t weird. Being fascinated by violence while exploring that fascination in a fictional setting is incredibly healthy and normal, unless you think playing shooter games or action games (GTA, CS:GO, Mortal Kombat, Postal, Cyberpunk 2077, all of these games have gratuitous violence yet happen to be the most popular video game franchises) you a mentally ill person.

First offI’m just sharing what studies have shown which I’ll share if you’re interested. Second of off, this person wasn’t JUST fascinated by abuse in rape. They clearly claimed that’s ALL they found interesting and EVERYTHING ELSE was boring to them. That’s where my point comes from. People can find it interesting or compelling but for that to HAVE TO BE what makes the story interesting is a red flag and no defending it as healthy. Lastly and thirdly, you mention shooting gals as if that does not already have links to school schooling in America or violent tendencies in young boys. That is not the case for every child BUT there are stats that show that if a kids ONLY interest and ONLY free time is at video games which shows violence and no outside time, then yes they have a high chance of influence. Hope this helped clear anything up and if you’re genuinely interested lmk

Nothing doesn’t have to happen but you could’ve also been exposed to this at a young age that’s desensitized you to things like rape and abuse. If not, I’m happy for you, but it’s not healthy lol. (Coming from someone who reads a lot of that stuff as well. Just don’t solely find those stories enjoyable)

you are so incredibly wrong but your confidence in your misinformation is admirable.
There’s 100% a difference between being curious about dark topics and being desensitized to or entertained by depictions of harm. Treating things like abuse or rape as casual entertainment is not normal or healthy.
And you started off wrong and strong. Fiction is not just fiction. It absolutely affects people. A simple google search would tell you that fiction CAN and DOES shape peoples emotions and their values, it can influence attitudes, and can normalize harmful behaviors.
Use your brain for a second now. How do we teach children values and morals? “The Tortoise and the Hare,” “The Boy Who Cried Wolf,” fairy tales, fables, and children’s books all use imaginary scenarios to shape real-life values.
And sure, video and action games with violence is not going to make someone a murder. But use your head now for me love… if a person everyday single only plays video games with rape, murder, violence and shooting… what exactly do you think they will think about in their everyday lives? How do you think they would initially want to react to any sort of stress or conflict? they’ll react with that same violence if that’s all they know and care about.
But yeah that’s real fucking healthy right, doctor?
Being aware of or interested in dark themes is natural, but acting as if all dark content is harmless is ignorant. Please educate yourself before spewing shite.

Mar et al. (2006) found that reading fiction enhances empathy and theory of mind by letting readers mentally simulate social experiences, rather than by confusing fiction with fact. Similarly, neuroscience research by Tamir, Oppenheimer, and colleagues (2016) shows that reading fiction activates the brain’s default-mode network (used in daydreaming and self-reflection) demonstrating that fiction triggers internal modeling, not belief formation. Its ethical value lies in the intent of the user. Of course if it is used for educational purposes, it’s damaging to portray violence, but entertainment has never signaled anything about a person’s moral beliefs or mental state. Also, shooting games have no correlation to school shootings, there is no scientific evidence that supports a link between them.

If someone is so deeply affected by a story they decide to become a murderer, rapist, abuser, pedophile, etc they were probably going to do it anyways.

First off, a story isn’t just a story. Depending on the reader it can have all the impact and or lessons (good or bad). Second, if you ONLY find abuse and rape interesting, then yes.. IT IS (I’m going off the commented saying anything outside of that is BORING). Third, you mention video games as if there aren’t any studies and evidence on a child or impressionable mind who only enjoys violent video games being linked to violent behaviors and worse case CRIMES (like shootings, abuse towards animals, violent towards others). You mention the popular games but fail to realize that those popular games are probably not a persons ONLY source of entertainment in gaming.
