This latest chapter was so perfect, I am very prone to second-lead syndrome and Otogi's dynamic with Futagami is SO good that I was a LITTLE but swayed, but that ending encompasses the situation perfectly, Futagami projecting his own doubts onto Ikkoku. Saying that he *can't* accept her because he knows she will grow beyond him and feel insufficient, meanwhile Ikkoku is literally right there juxtaposed trying to put his feelings into words and be earnest with his feelings. I shall be swayed no longer!!!
