I felt a bit sorry for assuming it will lead to the cliche path where she builds her self up and the story time-skips to where they meet again as older individuals, now in equal footing or even better reversed. I forgot this story is actually not so conventional to the hetero manhwa scene just because of the under-satisfying art style that fails to capture the storyline’s serious and complex theme.
