A ball was thrown in the Nacht duchy to introduce her to other nobles, and even though they knew she's the "cherished" child who's the owner of a powerful ancient artifact, I'm supposed to believe they dare to openly show their disdainfor her because she's an orphan? Even when a garden party occured the next day, I'm supposed to believe she only had 1 attendant? And I'm supposed to believe jealous children will openly try to humiliate her, that those children's parents will try to criticize her, and that her attendant won't do anything? And I'm supposed to believe a famous lord can just kidnap her from the duchy's garden, with a lot of people watching, just because it suddenly rained? How stupid! Even if the plot "needs" the FL to be kidnapped, can't the author think of smarter plot? Even if the FL has to be isolated by the nobles because she's an orphan whose parents are unknown, why are those nobles written like idiots? For the children to not bother to hide their hatred for the FL is natural, but I'm supposed to believe their parents are dumb enough to openly scold the ward of one of the empire's most powerful families? Stupid, stupid, stupid! It's only halfway through and the plot is already dumb. I'm dropping it because I can't bear to read how much dumber it's going to become.
