How could her mother be his mate when he is close to the same age as MC? He would have been a child during that meeting. The only possibilities I can think of is that she was pregnant with MC at the time and it was misunderstood on who he is meant to be with. Or that wasn’t her mother but instead both of their ancestors interacting. But if it’s true that it is genuinely her mom. . . .um ( ̄∇ ̄")

A ton of this mess would be addressed if he would just say something. I get it. Misunderstandings and stuff like that can make the story more dramatic and add to the plot. But it shouldn’t take 40+ chapters to go “hey i feel some type of way because of this”. Had he been constantly ignored and brushed off I would understand. But he hasn’t actually tried to say anything the entire time. He just relies on the random thoughts he has read without additional context. (╯°Д °)╯╧╧

This could go a couple of ways. 1) Ian was truly a child in terms of how long he has been alive and just suddenly got bigger physically. 2) Ian has actually been an adult but his body did not physically develop due to the missing trigger which is MC. I feel like the second option makes more sense because he was keeping up with reading difficult scientific articles as well as college level topics. The one researcher said that he LOOKS like he couldn’t be more than 10 not that he is. It feels similar to how some people are extremely intelligent when it comes to books and studying but then people question if they have common sense or understand how the world works

On one hand, I get it. The father had a massively traumatic experience with the one person he trusted more than anyone. But it’s wild that he’s telling everyone to throw away their emotions when he sealed his away while being emotionally impulsive. Also, how are you going to keep asking why she decided to come there when she said upfront that it was to find her dad and just survive. For someone who claims to not let his emotions drive him. . . . .he is actively harassing and hurting her due to being emotionally triggered from his past with her mom. Trauma is complicated and we can’t force ourselves to follow an exact protocol when unexpected events happen. But it’s still frustrating knowing that grown adults find it ok to actively partake in harming kids due to circumstances that the kid had no control over. (╯°Д °)╯╧╧

I get it. Trauma is complicated and is not easy to make your way through especially in circumstances like this. However, I can’t stand watching people treat others the way they please and others give the reasoning of “you need to understand their perspective”. There is a difference in having empathy for that person so that you can understand them and some of their actions. But it’s completely different when they go out of their way to be abusive under the reasoning of “well I have a tragic past”. So does she (╯°Д °)╯╧╧
