No matter what happened afterward with the jizz attack, the panels showing that the moon was actually an eye were so fucking good. Really got me good, especially for a crack manhwa
I know our couple is cute af right now, but given the tone of the cover art, story setting, and story title, I am BITING MY NAILS anxiously, waiting for things to turn south. There’s no WAY a story will be fluffy throughout with a name referencing Sisyphus. I’m eagerly awaiting it and dreading it at the same time (⊙…⊙ )
This is probably one of my favorite set of side stories out so many BL manhwa I’ve read. A lot of side stories for darker more toxic relationships like this are just more time the main couple and like a mini plot that isn’t too consequential (which I do love), but this feels like a true expansion of both characters and how they would react in a relationship like this. Especially because I feel like the main story was relatively short compared to both the potential it could have had and to other stories like Passion or Codename Anastasia which are currently ongoing and already exceed/meet the same chapter count as Roses and Champagne’s main story. It feels natural and almost like an actual second season or sequel rather than most side stories.
To also center these stories around Caesar’s and Leewon’s different expectations for their relationship and how they begin to understand the other’s perspective instead of focusing only on external obstacles (like Dmitri and Mikhail) was brilliant. Upon my recent rereading of the main story, I felt like the whole development of their relationship was a bit rushed and while they loved each other, they didn’t love the whole of each other, since the never knew it. With the nature of their characters, their reactions to each others actions and words feel completely natural. With this recent chapter, I feel like Leewon is starting to fully embrace all of Caesar and while I don’t think Caesar is as ready for that without some sort of possessiveness/jealousy popping up, it is his first love and he’s a mafioso with heaps of trauma, so we might need to cut him some slack with his pace. That being said, I’m really looking forward to the next chapter!
Is it just me, or does Kagami look like the black-haired bully introduced in ch 1. Not only their hair, but I feel like their eye shape is somewhat similar. Maybe a family relation?

So now we know that Hwan is the contractor of Moony and likely is the one who sent out all the monsters. I don’t think he knew that Chiwoo was the enemy he was fighting because he after the fair where the last enemy was and they got together, Hwan actually saw Chiwoo in his hero form. After that, no more monsters appeared since he probably doesn’t want to fight Chiwoo (which is why he helped Chiwoo in fighting the fair monster guy) and his wish was probably the same as Chiwoo’s.
With Jin though, now that we know he isn’t the contractor but is still connected to Moony somehow, I think he might be the person that Sunny is getting their wish from (this was explained in the chapter where Chiwoo asks Sunny about how the wishes work). Correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t think Sunny knows who the person their getting the wish from is. And Moony mentioned to Jin that they found it amusing (or something) that Jin was mingling with humans when he wasn’t one
These are just some of my thoughts but who knows what’ll happen ╮(￣▽￣)╭
