Jaekyung delivered millions to Dan's account for each sex they had and Dan as a sane adult, willingly or unwillingly, sold his body because he had reached his limits because of his poverty and debts. This is not rape, they had a deal between themselves. There are some rape stories here, but this one is definitely not. Ok! Jaekyung was asshole but realised being an asshole doesn't work all the time and he went through an epiphany of realising his selfish quick temper is rubbish. The characterisation in this story is to some levels well-fashioned compared to many unrealistic far-fetched characters of this genre. Even the unnecessary background story of him tried to justify his self-centered and hasty personality. He never forcefully attack anyone for a fuck; if so, why didn't he rape Dan when he was woozy and faint in his apartment (chapter 10.) He had another rent boy before Dan that he couldn't get on with. In relationship one should give either money or heart. No need to make it too dramatic to mention he even saved Dan by hitting those loan sharks who were about to "RAPE" Dan and some other chapters worried about him in his cold damp shed with the number of beer bottles he saw. The story even provides us with Dan's inside voice and he's never felt being a rape victim except that physician coworker in flashback and the loan sharks. Interpretation is open until we don't neglect the facts provided by the story. No need to idealise Jaekyung, of course he's flawed but he realised them, the only thing seems unrealistic is that people like Jaekyung rarely change in real life, if they change, a moment of sudden great revelation happened for them. Jaekyung asked, and Dan could have said no, finished. (╯°Д °)╯╧╧
