He says Guwon “saved them,” but the memory shows something darker, Guwon killed his wife and children, saying they were “no use.” It’s like he rewrote the doctor’s reality, forcing the idea into his mind that “Even though I killed your family, I saved you.”
That twisted logic is why the doctor fears him and stays loyal that also applies to everyone in the village. Because in Guwon’s world, only the useful survive. ╮(￣▽￣)╭
