Joowon was being demonized to absurd level through the biggest part of the story. To this day he is on tiktok or Twitter.
And in the end Joowon had bigger character development. Plus their motivation was also different. Even in past Joowon always genuinely cared and tried to protect Haesoo although unfortunately he (joowon) hurt him many times because of his arrogance.

it's simple really: because taku didn't develop enough?? he's still selfish in the latest raw chapters.

first of all taku had bad motivations and was manipulative. he didnt start things with haesoo because he loved him. but instead he wanted to use HS. If we were to contrast him to Joowon (SOMEHOW the most demonized character in the story lol): joowon at least had very understandable motivations and good intent. He genuinely loved haesoo from the start and never wanted to use him. he kept their relationship undefined because he really thought this would protect them. it was a mistake, but was he trying to hurt haesoo? ofc not. not to mention the fact that he has abandonment issues from haesoo leaving him. i can sympathize with him. meanwhile what is taku's reasoning for his wrong actions? he literally just wanted to toy with people for self-interest and the fun of it + his photography career. i'm glad he learned that it's really not great to do that... but frankly its not enough.

Like I can 100% agree: joowon was too arrogant and possessive at the start. but he changed and developed for the better in the story. he matured A LOT. But Taku meanwhile cant relate with his immaturity and selfishness: saying that he hopes haesoo is unhappy/suffers for breaking up with him in chapter 99 lol

I would say that the whole story had presented Joowon as the bad guy (only until the recent chapters have we seen a different side to his character). I'm not going say that Jowoon is perfect or that he doesn't have any flaws - bc he does. But, I think that plenty of people have demonized Jowoon. I think that this was partly what the author had in mind... she presented Jowoon from the perspective of Haesoo and for the most of the story, he was the designated bad guy. However, she then revealed more about his character later in the story (and also his perspective of his relationship with Haesoo) / (she also showed his character growth and gave explanations behind his actions). My point is that he has been demonized the whole time (and a lot of people skim over the negative parts about Taku). A lot of people overlook Jowoon's perspective from the story and his background - that is where it shows the root/cause of the problems in Haesoo's and Jowoon's relationship. For ex, after Haesoo and Jowoon were reunited, he told Haesoo that they should keep it casual or else he would "abandon him again". A lot of their problems were caused by miscommunication / a lack of communication in general. As for Taku, I think that there are a lot of comments calling him out now because so many people don't see how he is manipulative. There have been a lot of negative comments about Jowoon and some people are just commenting on how Taku is also not perfect.

why are people not demonizing joowon? lol what. joowon had good intentions from the start. he developed the most too. and YET he is in fact the most demonized character. taku on the other hand is coddled like a baby, despite all his shitty intentions and manipulative actions. not to mention he still needs further development.
there's never a moment where taku shows or realizes: "ah damn, the way i treated haesoo was so selfish. i took advantage of him. i kept wishing he suffers just so that he can be dependant on me and i can comfort him. thats not how love should be! that's fcked up and i definitely should never do that again and i should change!!"

meanwhile joowon spends 40+ chapters literally self reflecting and correcting his actions and becoming mature... when he didnt even intend to hurt haesoo. like ?? how is this even a comparison? and don't get me started on chapter 99 translations. compare his breakup with joowon and haesoo's. and see what joowon said, vs what he said. it tells me more than enough (︶︿︶)

i think yall misunderstood me.i never said joowon should be demonized, i meant that both characters did similar things from my view and it doesnt make sense half the comments i see getting pissed at taku for being “selfish”. NOT saying he isnt selfish but all of the characters were selfish at a point and i dont think taku had anything miraculous happen to give him the needed development. he is in love like the other two characters. both of them have done selfish shit at the end of the day, and not only that joowon shouldnt be hated on either. i shouldve worded that better my bad

I understand what you mean and yeah they all did selfish things. But to me, it comes down to intent and character development. Joowon never intended to hurt Haesoo & loved him genuinely from the start. We knew for a while how he kept their relationship undefined because he thought it would protect what they had. plus he thought haesoo abandoned him and he was scared haesoo would run away if things got too serious. he made mistakes, but he really wasnt trying to hurt haesoo from what we know.
On the other hand, Taku was trying to use Haesoo, as he did to all his models and merely for self-interest + career. He was disingenuine and manipulative. He also kept saying stuff like "when I saw you sad it felt good" because he liked that haesoo had to rely on him for comfort. He tried to guilt haesoo in the recent raws which made me think he didnt get good development + was still very selfish despite falling in love.

i think taku is just a human and his actions are very real. but for me he cant be compared to joowon, who showed selflessness and was ready to let his career fall for haesoo. so... i understand why some ppl are saying taku was crappy, and think joowon is a lot better for the endgame. this is just my opinion tho! no hate to you and i hope you enjoy the story and dont worry too much about the commentsヾ(☆▽☆) <3

Okay this was an interesting standpoint. i understand what you mean and i enjoyed reading this response. Although i also think Joowoon would be a better endgame especially with everything they've gone thru. the way i see it is that love is inevitably selfish but thats just my own little opinion lol. thank you for your constructive response! <3 Also i havent read the raws so i wouldnt know anything about that
