i feel like there wasn't as much lead up. like. maybe it's just the way the artist draws the expressions without much nuance but that confession was so sudden. bro went from being around him for work & teasing him 3 times to being like "I AM GOING TO KISS YOU." like the adventure was adventuring, the plot was plotting, but the romance was barely romancing, how did we get here? is it different in the novel?
