i’m rereading this peak story again after all these years, and it wrecks me—just like it did the first time. the plot, the pacing, the sheer depth of the characters… everything about it still feels so vivid. the way their struggles were written, especially the psychological nuances in their portrayal broke me all over again. it hurts seeing how much they had to go through—how cruel the world was to them, how much they had to endure. and yet, somehow amidst all that pain, they still found solace in each other. i don’t think i’ll ever stop coming back to this story. the story is just so beautifully written. oh how i love my dear lewellyn and shavonne ╥﹏╥
