They were on a quest and a super dangerous enemy appeared and lucus not only tried to leave by himself but launched himself off the backs of the others top push himself closer it towards the exit, leaving every else to their deaths. A couple of people did die because of his stupid decision and it was quite sad.
Remember when Art went to a dungeon, and they met a top tier S class monster, yeah Lucas used the other participants as sacrifices to stay alive included Art, Jasmine and Elijah
Lucas sent Arthur flying with a fire blast and made the situation worse (in order for them all to die) before running away leaving Arthur and the rest of the group in the Dungeon for dead. Lucas then made up a story about how they sacrificed themselves for him (meaning they all died), to hide the fact he abandoned/tried to kill them in order to survive by himself. But Arthur came back alive and as you can see... very angry and betrayed over what Lucas had done.

And let's also add that he had no remorse about doing that, and even talked bad about he trash-talking one of the girls (I don't remember her name, but she was a water magician, and the idiot healer wanted to please her), because she somehow became crippled.

oh yeah, that guy with dick for brains, i remember. Watching him get smelted was so satisfying, but even that trash was better than lucas, god he was annoying
