It's pretty disgusting that so many commenters are complaining about the SA. This story, unlike many others that use it as a cheap plot device or for shock value, is realistic about what effect that kind of trauma can have on people. Sorry that realism isn't always fluffy and feel good. SA should be handled seriously in a story, instead of treated like a trope.
This is a mature story for a mature audience. Some of you need to either grow the fuck up or stop reading.
