Ya'll did she somehow convince herself she didn't know Ban Yeoryeong to be able to be with her? Kinda like self-hypnosis? Maybe she's not really in a novel but maybe its her way of processing the current events to not go back to that moment and still continue to be Yeoryeong's friend? Because if so, that's a bit fucked up. You force a kid to forget her own self and believe into something ludicrous just to make sense of the injustice she feels. Poor Dan-I
Hate that everyone is saying this isn't worth reading because the romance is too slow paced. It is not centered on the romance at all, it's is about the angst of being in a world you don't belong in and the uncertainty of your existence to those you love. It does a deep dive into the psychology of an isekai story and the themes goes so much deeper than "oh MC and some guy gets tg and they live happily ever after." That would be SO boring and repetitive, so if that's what you want please read something else. There are so many better options for romance than this.
While some of this story can drag on, the premise of this story as a whole is the unease of not belonging and misalignment of identity. She is LITERALLY not the main character of her own story. While she struggles to open her heart to people she feels she can't love, those who love her suffer from her indecision. It's a great angsty story with cute characters and is worth reading if you know what you're in for.
