Yes it's true, but most internet provider's don't bother checking cause they are providing internet to a lot of people and pretty sure I'm not the only lazy person in the whole world and even if they check I doubt they tell your family. But anyways I'll pray for you.

Your internet service provider will only be able to see which websites you were on, but they cannot see what you were viewing, or in your case reading, on those websites. Hope this helps!
