Okay, I might’ve missed some details, but here’s what I remember:

Nyne, also known as Sha Nine, is the official consort of Sha Amon, the god worshipped by the people of Trastasa. He is deeply in love with Amon, but also terrified of him. Amon is unpredictable—sometimes affectionate, other times completely merciless—and whenever Nyne becomes too emotional or distressed, Amon has priests perform rituals that erase parts of his memory. Because of this, Nyne often forgets arguments, traumatic moments, or even feelings he’s had in the past.

Although Nyne appears graceful and obedient, he secretly hates how people worship Amon so blindly. He’s especially disturbed by the ritual duels, where followers fight to the death as a form of sacrifice or entertainment. Everyone in the temple knows that Nyne dislikes this, but they brush it off by saying that, in time, he’ll “mature” and grow to love it.

Also, when new Reshas are brought in—like Gwen—Nyne isn’t just jealous; he’s genuinely afraid they’ll die. He resents how easily people are willing to offer their lives to Amon without question. In the past, Nyne grew attached to a Resha, and because he showed “favor” toward him, that Resha was chosen to be sacrificed. He was ultimately killed, and that experience left Nyne deeply traumatized.

Gwen is a pink-haired man from another continent. He’s kind, blunt, and not afraid to speak his mind, even when it’s considered blasphemous. Unlike everyone else in the temple, Gwen doesn’t blindly fear or worship Amon. At first, Nyne dislikes Gwen and punishes him, thinking he’s arrogant and possibly a threat to his position. But over time, Gwen begins giving Nyne magical gifts, showing genuine care, and treating him like a person.

Slowly, Nyne starts to care for Gwen. Their relationship becomes emotionally intimate and even romantic—they share kisses and many quiet, vulnerable moments. Gwen becomes the only person who truly understands Nyne and makes him feel safe.

Amon, for his part, does love Nyne in the only way he knows how. He tries to give Nyne what he thinks will make him happy—but he doesn’t fully understand human emotions. Even so, he keeps hurting Nyne through the memory-wiping rituals, which make Nyne emotionally numb and dependent.

By Chapter 101 or the latest chapter, a deadly plague has begun spreading in the city. The temple announces a massive purification ritual where hundreds of people—including noble heirs—will be sacrificed. Nyne is horrified. Overwhelmed by guilt, grief, and fear, he isolates himself in his chambers—until, in a desperate moment, he escapes through a secret passage and finds Gwen. He collapses into Gwen’s arms, silently seeking comfort, and for the first time in a long while, allows himself to be truly vulnerable.
