It really shows the almost emotionlessness of the Crown Prince so well. It starts off with a word from his younger brother himself that he will die soon. Dude's reaction to it was nothing. So when he got news of Doram's brother passing away Crown Prince really thought he would either just be emotionally stunted like he was about his younger bro or would be pleased as Doram did mention he'd just want to know if his younger brother is alive or not.
When he said you'd like the news then bam Doram actually was dismayed to what happened to his brother. The exact opposite to how Crown Prince reacted about his own younger brother. So much emotions that he never had was shown when he realized Doram's reaction. He knows he screwed the fucked up, confusion, maybe regret and dismay when Doram cried his heart out about his brother.
Honestly at first this manhwa wasn't really doing it for me. But damn the main reason why this story wasnt clicking for me at the start is the same reason why it's warming up to me now. Story progression really does make a story night and day. I mean the idea of some supernatural being knowing emotions through a significant other is a tail as old as time but damn does this shit work for me!

I want them to do ROPES! I WANT YUAN TO BE HANGING SZA KILL BILL MV STYLE!!!! Im fine with this manhwa finishing early but I WILL NOT be content if i don't see them have the nastiest rope play in all of fiction
So i personally don't mind fucked up stories. But i feel like the execution and the reasoning of this story just doesn't land. My favorite bl has to be "A painter behind the curtain" where the ML Raymon is such a detestable man for hurting others (especially Ian the MC) for his own gain. But for some reason... it fucking works. That's why i may hate him but i do love his characterization. His plots and action lead to so much dynamic to the story it was incredible. And the reason why he has to do what he has to do felt so valid coz literally his family was on top but some pesky noble just went and fuck up good people which was Raymon's family. I can't help but somehow emphatize his desperation on seeking vengence more than any other bl character i've ever read.
Enough the glazing, so does the MC's actions justify what has happen to him, his daughter and his actions???? NO... coz:
1) Bro got isekaied, what happened to the villainess shouldnt really emotionally impact him into protecting her coz... THAT'S TECHNICALLY NOT HIS DAUGHTER. Like i dont think u formed a proper bond over what u considered a fictional character when u read about this novel like come on -_-
2) Bruh the real perpetrator in this shinanigans is that stupid ass prince, not the girls. The girl saintess or whatever just happen to be spoil and got the attention of the guy who did the villainess wrong. And from what i heard in spoilers all this bitchass prince get is the shame of picking his girl wrong while the ones who indirectly caused this shit got more shit than this man. Like why doesnt the prince get fucked by dogs or the shit the girls get as well?
3) Why the guy so evil as i mention THIS MAN JUST GOT ISEKAIED. Like bro yes u are part of this shit coz u transmigrated to that fictional character but damn bro its so non-sensical that ur actions are to this extent coz THAT ISNT EVEN YOU. U know what im saying?
Like the fuck up-ness of this story just doesn't equate to the reason why the MC has to defend his daughter. It just leaves an icky feeling in a bad way icky. And yes many of yall say he's evil coz he's evil but man him being a 3rd party in this story just really doesn't make sense why he does that but maybe the original material being a novel into the manga didn't make the story as rich as it should be???? Idk i dont plan to really read the novel to bother if the writing their is better executed than in here ╮(￣▽￣)╭
Another story i love which is killing stalking (not bl but bare with me) is just fucked up but in the best way possible imo. The writing, characterization, intentions, are so on point that i see why the Sangwoo, Bum and story is so messed up is sooooo justified and makes so much sense. Unlike this one.
If yall enjoy villain stories coz of the sport of it, then this is def your cup of tea. But as for me... im still gonna read but that's just me to criticize it in silence LMAO. I will just say this is my personal taste ok? That's my 2 cents hope yall enjoy reading this one anyways (=・ω・=)
I literally was squealing throughout the chapter ESPECIALLY when ahjussi said they should date and of course when Yuan said to punish him ლ(´ڡ`ლ)
I don't tolerate the Yuan slander here i will say also hate misunderstandings to the core but in Yuan's case its actually reasonable why he'd let ajusshi go. There previous convos (chap 17 i think) literally have ajusshi say to Yuan he doesn't have anyone he like and Yuan should try dating, and their age gap is not viable implying in his way of saying he doesn't see Yuan as a love prospect. WHAT IS THERE NOT TO MISUNDERSTAND ON THAT!? I just feel like the lighter was the final nail to the coffin that made Yuan really assume that ajusshi will never see Yuan as a lover at all.
And to remind yall this is Yuan first experience of of a sexual relationship and he ended up liking that person. It was very much established they will just be partners and never had plans to move forward with. I might even say for someone with no experience and the information laid out to him, Yuan handled it pretty well. Letting go, getting hurt less from a real rejection and not ending his relationship (in what he assumes) in a messy note with ajusshi is him THINKING THIS THOROUGHLY. Of course as all of yall could say u can communicate and im sure in the future he def will, just let this boy experience and learn ok?? Leave him alone! Also as an insanely non-confrontational person this chap actually resonates to me coz I would do the same with the information laid down to me. I know its a shortcoming of mine but im trying to learn and Yuan will also learn to actually do as the story progress. Well that's my two cents.

I really like Thanatos and Makoto's relationship. How they gradually fell for each other is steady and just so adorable. Seriously one of the better bl couple developments Ive seen tbh. I fucking love reading when its only about them. I also like Makoto's growth as a character as he grapple his way into changing his life from the terrible highschool life he had. Him seeing the better parts of life is really nice I do hope it gets better for him! And of course Thanatos is just so just a bundle of joy, I love this adorkable reaper as the story progress.
BUT as we all know the elephant in the room the academy is a whole wack of predators that its fucking pissing me off. Like is the author getting off from this or something? Its just aggrevates me everytime Makoto constantly gets SAed by some other creature it makes me wanna drop the story. But I always stay for the cutesy of Thanatos and Makoto so i guess i have to suffer to obtain happiness huh?
