I mean you don’t really need a reason to love someone, or it can be that it was just little things that stacked and stacked on eachother and then he realized he loved him, it doesnt have to be some major event to cause someone to fall inlove or a specific thing yk? It’s either no specific reason, many tiny reasons that u cant pin point, added up moments that redult in love, on major moment, on trait.. idk this is kinda off topic to ur question but i got to into im sorry ♀

Well Gio still cared and liked Felix even after knowing his reason for becoming his bodyguard. All Felix got in his life was betrayal and shit so he thought when Gio will find out about his secret he will also hate him and might do something bad to him.
But you know how story took place after that... and it was enough for him to fall for Gio.
