giving mixed signals doesn’t have to be intentional or malicious xx knowing someone is into u and continuing being kind to them is like poison. like not being sure in ur feelings and then doing things that reflect ur feelings is literally giving mixed signals LOL Ofc it doesn’t apply to everyone but when they’re in a very fragile mental state and they’re clearly seek ur approval, ex: there’s power dynamics here esp with him being this respectful older Sunbae, i think it’s important to start to detach urself after helping them seek professional help and keep in contact but at a distance. if they become more and more reliant on u bc they’re taking ur affection or kindness as potential hope for love it’ll be devasting if ur not ready for that. neither party is particularly wrong but I just wanted to clarify more on my point edit: wrote this super late but my point is: hope they get better but yes he’s giving mixed signals, ex: why the therapist said “people aren’t like cats you know”
