I noticed like only 2 people talking about this but how is she so white? And I’ve noticed this in other ones but the main characters are always white and if they are tan or darker they are barbarians??? Is this normal with these kinds of things because even if she is the saint that doesn’t mean she has to be white hair on white skin I think it would be nice to have a Saint that has darker skin and dark hair idk it just feels a little icky

I was also thinking about that, considering she came from a tropical island she is too pale. Well, I guess that's just the korean beauty standards ( ̄へ ̄)

I’m not here for arguments just conversations and questions! If you have a question feel free to ask I will try my best to help. I am a victim of SA so I have strong opinions on “dark romance” here is an amazing article if there is confusion

When I’m wrong I can admit that I’m wrong but I do need solid information for that so as to not just believe anything

♡I love everyone who is kind my little pookie bears♡
Addicted to the good stuff

P.s I am mentally goofy so if it sound like I’m mean I’m not trying to be I sometimes have a hard time discerning whether I’m being fair, kind or that good stuff

Remember that if you are saying it’s okay because it’s fiction you are forgetting that the wrongful presentation of sexual violence contributes to rape culture. It isn't about differentiating fiction and reality, everybody knows it isn’t real, its about cause and effect. Sexualizing, downplaying, romanticizing rape along with trivializing sexual violence in any manner contributes to rape culture because MEDIA including fictional media, is the biggest contributor to rape culture. If not, one of the biggest. There is no safe space for ANYBODY who wants to misrepresent sexual violence or SA victims. There should never be one, and authors who do that should be held accountable. Think about it we shouldn't want misrepresentation and sexualization of rape, it is HARMFUL content. Thank you for reading. I don’t want to argue, I just think it’s important to understand what’s okay and what isn’t even if it involves sadism here is a link to what BDSM actually means and what these people stand for:

https://www.harpersbazaar.in/amp/culture/story/essential-rules-to-explore-bdsm-responsibly-572918-2023-06-08

https://www.everydayhealth.com/healthy-sex/bdsm/

I think it’s important to note that people may not know what rape is and might not understand it or might not understand that what they are saying is hurtful and wrong, here is an amazing article that goes over these things:

https://talynnkel.com/blog/2016/1/20/rape-disguised-as-romance-why-i-stop-reading-most-romance-novels

I genuinely want to know why people victim blame and also excuse rape and abuse because it’s fictional and not in real life like I want to know what the thought processes behind that is?
Here are my thoughts
Rape isn’t excusable wether it be in writing (in books movies) or in real life I can see where people may want to separate stuff like how they say separate the art from the artist but if someone is romanticizing rape in literature and or in movies it has been shown to have real negative affects on society and how they talk about rape and sexual assault this also goes with abuse and abuse victims. As someone who was abused and sexually assaulted it hurts so bad in my heart when people victim blame or try to make the excuse that it’s not in the real world.
