To me the emperor will never be redeemable.. He'd have to go through lakes of turds with open wounds carrying the mc over his head for me to consider forgiving him. :) He was beyond cruel and abusive.
I also need to see the MC's sister punished and tossed out. She was allowed to do all the cruel stuff and the emperor knew she was out of hand and still showered her with gifts.
