I had to re-read some chapters from last season. Jitae's 180 seemed out of nowhere this season (imho) because of how the chapters were broken up, but re-reading, I realize it was always the elephant in the room.
Quick recap:
Ch 52: Jitae leaves Mi-eum at home. He tells Mi-eum that Ms Yoon (Jung-ah, Jitae's mom's friend who's now Jitae's assistant) will drop by to check on him.
Ch 53: Jitae, at the office, gives Ms Yoon the car keys & tells her to check on Mi-eum at home (unknown to us at this point, Jitae already suspects she will try something).
Ch 55 & 56: Ms Yoon meets Mi-eum at home & they talk about the past with Jitae's mom. Ms Yoon expresses her grievances against Jitae. The scene cuts when Ms Yoon, agitated & upset reaches for Mi-eum.
Ch 60: Jitae arrives at home & as he enters, he realizes something is off, shoes missing at the entry way. He tries to call Ms. Yoon, no answer. We see his possessive & obsessive nature coming out in his self talk. Mi-eum arrives.
Ch 61: Mi-eum says he was just out for a walk & to get groceries with Ms Yoon. Jitae calls out his lie. Sees the rope marks on Mi-eums wrists. Asks why Mi-eum is protecting Ms Yoon. Tells him he's forbidden from seeing her & that he's keeping Mi-eum locked up until things settle because he's anxious. Mi-eum recalls Ms Yoon's words, about the monster Jitae becomes when it's to do with Mi-eum.
Ch 62: Flashback a few hours: We see how Ms Yoon did try to kidnap Mi-eum & was planning to kill (?) him... not quite sure if she planned to kill him or send him away somewhere. They are intercepted by Jitae's men. Mi-eum begs not to tell Jitae about the incident. Jitae's men also hints how Jitae loses it when it's to do with Mi-eum.
(Mi-eum gets a call from Jian at this point which we don't find out until the end of the chapter).
Now poor Mi-eum is kept chained in his room while his unhinged boyfriend makes him breakfast(/TДT)/
And it's clear that Mi-eum is upset about all this shit but he feels remorseful that he's the reason Jitae's lost his marbles. Mi-eum also believes he deserves it. Also probably not throwing hands because of whatever Jian told him on that phonecall.
I'm here for Mi-eum & Jian. Hope they both make it out of this twisted story with some semblance of a happy ending.
Yes, get out of that environment and breathe a little away from the situation, and away from Ido. Even if they get back together after some time, that's fine.
Also good to hear Ido take full responsibility for ruining him, not "partly responsible" like you know who, "a horse by any other name" or whatnot ( ̄∇ ̄")
But the puppies are so cute! Those little hind legs view under the bench Wish someone would pet them ╥﹏╥
I admit I wasn't impressed with the manhwa so far and that made me even more curious why everyone who read the novel said they cried. So I found the novel & read it... and yes, I cried too ╥﹏╥
The manhwa doesn't seem much right now but give it time. Hopefully they'll do the novel justice. It's gonna be a long, tough road ahead, but hang in there (๑•ㅂ•)و✧
Will there ever be a day when Jaekyung calls Dan "Hyung"? (⌒▽⌒)
There's a sequel called La Valse (translates to The Waltz). Here's the premise I got from Novel Updates:
The house where Sasya and Karel spent the rest of their lives together was filled with photos of Sasya. In the future (2019), the house was turned into a museum which was owned by the supposed descendent of Sasya and the reincarnate of Karel (who is the protagonist of the sequel of "Solo For Two", and also named Karel Clement).
It's on ridibooks, Korean only.
Apparently we already met the director/former coach back in Chapter 57, he was the one badmouthing Jaegeng lol
