He would deserve better if had not coveted what Joowon and Haesoo had and later got obsessed with it.
He would deserve better if it hadn't been him who in full consciousness of the mind decided to get himself involved with Haesoo and his complicated love life.
He would deserve better if he had not selfishly pressured, and on one occasion even attempted to guilt trip, Haesoo into a trial-dating despite knowing that he wasn't ready for a new relationship after the heartbreaking end of his decade-old one.
He would deserve better if he had not been so manipulative toward Haesoo the entire damn story.
He would deserve better if he had not treated his past lovers like "candy" and threw them away after he no longer found them interesting.
He would deserve better if his get-go plan with Haesoo had not been seeking a fling for him to pass the time with while he was temporarily staying in Korea and breaking up with him afterwards when he had to go back not thinking of Haesoo's feelings one bit in the process.
He would deserve better if he had not been a complete sociopath who enjoyed seeing Haesoo sad
And he would deserve better if he had not outright told Haesoo he could fucking use him as a rebound.
Yes, Taku would deserve so much better, if only he hadn't commited any of these things. Therefore he DOES NOT deserve better. Period.

1. You CANNOT say that "both Joowon and Taku love Haesoo very much". That is not fact-checked. Stop and think again. Reread the manhwa if needed. Not both of them. Love is not some word you can throw around without care, it carries a deep meaning. One has been with him for a decade, tried to protect him the best he could in his own way and is willing to let him go if it means his happiness. The other on the other hand has only been with him for less than a month, pressured him into a relationship despite his reluctance, is likely driven by sole obsession, is desperate to own him AND is still new to feelings like affection which means it could all be confusion on his part.
That said it's obvious which one of them TRULY loves him.
2. You CANNOT say that Taku needs to make more appearances. NO. Are you for real dude has had a whole damn season devoted to him he's had enough screen time already what he needs is a character development because he's severely lacking in it.
3. You CANNOT say Joowon is still toxic after all of this, after all his character development because, bish do I even need to explain why.

The first time I read this, i couldnt care less how it would end because i hated all their attitudes (especially haesoo). The comments about who willbe endgame, J vs T made me have interest once again in this manhwa so i’ve read it again, this time slower and scrutinizingly. Joowon is heavily ‘villainized’ (The overused word being ‘toxic’ in the comment section) because the majority of the story is unfolding in Haesoo’s point of view. I tried to look at this most objectively, and while i believe there are multiple factors why Haesoo’s attitude and actions are like this, I’ve come to realize how Joowon is actually the most well-written among all of them.
After rereading this also, I also understand why Taku as endgame seem to be dominating but honestly, I find his attitude among all of them as most unrealistic. He is the most enigmatic among all of them but I can’t find myself rooting for him because his intentions towards Haesoo cant be called ‘pure’ if that makes sense. He entered Haesoo’s life knowing it has baggage and emotional trauma yet he insists on Haesoo (saying that he loves him) because he perhaps finds it thrilling?
Try it, read this again from the top and see how our image of Joowon is actually distorted by Haesoo’s internal conflict of love or hate for him..
