Tried reading this again but got disappointed. Why do they need to change the story?? Female lead is badass in the novel. She's intelligent and can manipulate the situation into her favor. Heck she even manipulates her father thinking she's on his side.

So basically this is another story about a husband who neglects his wife. If I remembered it correctly, her husband has deep hatred towards her family because her father refuse to help them when monster attack the territory.
FL encounters all types of abuse. Her husband and his aunt are very much emotionally abusing her. The villager and the servants are also hostile towards her. Her family is the biggest bully to her. They torment her especially her brother. There's a flashback where her brothers are harassing her and Eric (husband) just watch and left. Lily (FL) is practically looking at him for help. There's also a time where her brothers friend tried to sexually assaulted her. Her maid ( Charlotte) is the only decent person beside her.
So all of these happened before Eric lost his memories. During one of the attack in the territory, he came back with an amnesia. So he lost the memories he had during the time he was married to Lily. During this time, he became a different person and become attentive and puppy like to his wife. This is actually painful for Lily. Since her husband lost his memories, he also forget all the things he had done to her. She was living everyday with trauma while her husband acts like nothing happens.
One satisfying thing about Lily is she doesn't give af about him during his memory lost. She was indifferent and basically ignore his advances to her. Eric has lots of regrets during this time.
