I'm sorry, but the second ML is so boring... What makes him so good? That he treats the MC better than the ML? Well, I hope he does—the ML is a freaking bloody killer psychopath. But we should evaluate his character independently, not just in comparison to the ML.
He’s bland, boring. He has no spice, no edge whatsoever. He has no goal, no ambition, aside from being inexplicably in love (if we can even call it love) with the MC. That’s literally all there is to him. He has no sense of duty.
First, he betrayed his brother but fine, I’ll give him that—he has no duty toward him. But his MOTHER? The guy literally ran off on his Romeo and Juliet adventure and went, “Oh, I put my mom in a safe place.” Are you dumb? He knew she’d never be safe, if he knew that the ML could find them both anywhere obviously his team will find his mom and use her as collateral. Of course you put her in danger—just like you put everyone else around you in danger. Everyone who worked for you. He just doesn't give a damn.

And please—Come on. It was lust at first sight with the MC. He’s obsessed with his beauty and body and the idea of sleeping with him, of possessing him. That’s it.
Anyway, he’s just the second ML and obviously his only role is to make the two main characters end up together, but seriously—he could’ve at least been a bit more fleshed out to make those chapters with him more interesting.
