I remember these two guys either get shipwrecked or plane crashed, but either way they get stranded on an island (it might be one guy at a time?) then they get chosen as like priestesses or something to mate for the islands god which is like just a tentacle monster? The ending is them leaving the island but keeping the monster and breeding back on land. I'm pretty sure one of them was a swim instructor.
