I feel like we'd be feeling very different things if the story was from his POV. He's prolly someone struggling to make his ends meet, to the point that he had to sell himself. And him being snatched by the Rich person is a lottery for him...I keep oscillating between hating and being icked out and feeling bad for him. Pretty much exactly like the MC.
