I feel like we'd be feeling very different things if the story was from his POV. He's prolly someone struggling to make his ends meet, to the point that he had to sell himself. And him being snatched by the Rich person is a lottery for him...I keep oscillating between hating and being icked out and feeling bad for him. Pretty much exactly like the MC.
The MC is way too annoying. I feel like the way she was in the past was absolutely annoying and insufferable. It's one thing to be honest and authentic, and it's another to police literally everyone around you.
