It’s crazy how I actually feel a sense of sympathy for him..cause growing up in an abuse environment is so excruciatingly hard to escape from and everything you suffer there shapes you into a hallow creature sometimes you don’t even feel like a person.and Cesare is the result of all the horrible traumatic experiences he suffered with that damn pope and the church..they’re THE REAL VILLIAN here

Of course this doesn’t erase all the horrible things he’s done to ruby and those around him because he had the ability to escape his past and not be shackled by it but he ended up becoming just like the pope..pretty tragic

I understand why there are some saying she’s weak but she’s actually really realistic, in the way she goes about dealing with all the BS, like not every character is supposed to be this strong overpowered, ruthless, being. This fl is dealing with a lot of trauma and she handles it with dignity and grace and kindness but still defends herself when she needs too. Give FL a chance, kind and strong characters deserve to have their story written too
