Elise's medical knowledge came from the first world she reincarnated into after her execution in her first life, right? Because she was a doctor there first.
She made great contributions for the field of medicine because of her knowledge from when she was a doctor.
Was the world she was first reincarnated the same world she was living (and her current reincarnation? )?or was it two different worlds?
If they were the same worlds, does she have the right to claim the contributions she made when all her knowledge came from what she learned from the future?
Is the "Korea" in the present time of the story the same "South Korea" (like the real one)? Or a fictional place in the story (which happened to have the same name as the "real" one?

I think they were different worlds (or alternatives based on past events). In the first world where she was a doctor and had the plane crash, that would be the world based on the events that Elise was an evil empress and got killed. Once she was sent back to her past life, all of her actions as Elise changed the future. The current future where she is a med student going to look at all these historic places, is the result of that change, therefore it's a true future rewritten.
Also I agree. I don't think Elise has the right claim the contributions since in the original timeline, Jihyeon got all her knowledge from people who actually did the work, furthermore in this timeline, Elise was never a doctor, therefore we can assume she has no part in the current medical knowledge. All Jihyeon did as Elise was recite what she learned other people's hard work as doctors. For Elise to truly claim the contributions is if she was originally a genius doctor to begin with (and just used her knowledge poorly in the past leading to execution) and in Jihyeon's reincarnation, she learns from Elise's knowledge, then goes back in time and uses Elise's knowledge the right way. If not like this, then Elise being named "Mother of Modern Medicine" is wrongfully placed.
For a peasant like myself, I am grateful for this annual drizzle of blessing.
