I don't think Yu is embarrassed to have Takamata as a bf I mean look at Takamata that man is so handsome and he takes such good care of Yu I really think ( like another person said already ) that all of his previous relationship were not really taken seriously and now that he is in a serious relationship with someoen he wanna be with forever that someoen is a man, so I can understand that he has a hard time talking about something so serious to Tatsu even tho I'm pretty sure Tatsu will just tease him about it but he will be happy.....also the relationship kinda happened out of nowhwere and had a really messy start so It's gonna be hard to explain how everything started haha
