Bruh, I get why he would be upset since he clearly can tell that his friend is interested in him, but he rushed to you and told you everything, despite him not having done anything wrong in the first place, he apologized for lying (I don't even know if it's a lie since they're somewhat friendly acquaintances who were just sitting down eating food) and said everything there was to say about the encounter.
On the other hand, you said some pretty shitty stuff and haven't even apologized properly.
Fr, saying "Your next relationship will be different" at all while you're in a relationship with them, is just plain awful. I get that you're getting a dash of insecurity here and all, but if my partner said that shit to me, I'd be absolutely pissed.
