I totally get everything that happened and why JK has this behavior, BUT I'd reaaaaally love if author could solve this with therapy and show that a person can break a cycle of violence and move on from there but they need professional help for this, not just love someone and everything changes.
Authors has a great opportunity into their hands, I hope they use it well.
