I like how the author humanizes Hamir. I was already feeling a bit tired of stories making everyone against the MC and ML stupidly evil just to fit the narrative. It's often just flat stupid villain after flat stupid villain. Glad we getting some depth here when it comes to Hamir. Kinda makes up for his mother and Diona being 1-dimensional stereotypical villains.
