I thought this was going somewhere and then it abruptly stops, then the authors note made me even more mad. I was planning on ranting about how won was a passenger princess and should’ve got her balls together to bag her OP gothic baddie but now that I seen how it ends something entirely else is pissing me off.
The author sounds weak in motive and made a halfway decent plot line that imploded on itself due to her own lack in imagination. I didn’t think about all the characters self destructing and thought that we were in the midst of a character development phase. I thought that Won was going to have to learn to accept her vampiric nature and choose how to live her own life and that the goth girl was going to have to learn to let go and process what it is she was really chasing for, maybe questioning more on why she never chose to live like won knowing what it takes to be like her and knowing she had what it took to live that life with her. I thought the church girl was going to become a badass that changed up her own story and became the accelerator in the story, I also thought she had feelings for the goth girl more and won fell for her. I’m disappointed in the lack of real romance in this GL, it had a lot of potential for developing those kinds of relationships and spitting out new developments but it just didn’t. Overall it felt like lazy writing from someone who doesn’t even care for GL and found self destruction as the natural resolution to complex queer relationships instead of giving the characters any real depth and motive.
WT only updates like once a month and they go through a lot of battle plans. It obvious that the scene is well planned out but I would enjoy it if I could preview the map info the characters get so that I could come up with strategies too and compare their actions.
Sometimes I think that their actions come from left field until I hear their lines of thinking, and I have a hard time trying to predict what’s going on bc of my lack in scope. I think it would make this series more engaging if it gave enough context for the audience’s creative freedom before watching what the actually do and why.
