Ok criticism here they should not have brought his back story in so early second even if they brought back his backstory I feel like it would have been more impactful if it was ML that told Dan his backstory than old man because now it will feel like a relationship built on pity, also this arc should have been about dan becoming better and happier and Jake falling in love with dan(so it should have been a one sided love with Jake being the one to do the chasing. Because now it just feels like Dan will fall for Jake because of pity
