Yes. I knew something along these lines were up when the initial chapters mentioned his hate towards poverty. How ever I hope this isn't the end point of his origin story (just poverty and misfortune) like something else something more catastrophically disastrous needs to happen for jaekyung to develop the mortal flaw and the jinx belief. (However that's mingwa so I'm pretty sure the most predictable storyline in your mind IS the one that's going forward)
