Lol I love that elevator scene as Lyle was about to call for it and then just saw the floor number going down....Ash was like "nope, we've been through too much shit to have this misunderstanding fester for any longer" and I love that.
Also, Lyle is growing since he communicated with Ash his gripe. Sure, he did lock himself in his room and refused to further communicate but he stated his issue. I don't even think that what he did was the bad decision. While it puts Ash in awkward position of not being able to explain the situation, Lyle needed to be left alone to process his feelings and he might have hurt Ash even more if the confrontation happened right then and there. I think it's a better choice especially because as soon as he left his room he was ready to communicate and even apologize to Ash.
