the psyche of the seme is so interesting because it captures the essence of toxic people: they act like they're better than common folk who fall in love and commit to one person. Then, they meet someone that they perceive as out of reach. They start wantingsaid person but do they try to become worthy or them? nooooo that'd be too healthy for these assholes. They just want to drag the person to their level. Then, they supposedly "fall in love" and act like a victim because the person who never wronged them or promised them love didn't just jump into their arms. The penultimate stage of this mess is the self-pity and the realisation that they went about this the wrong way. That gives readers some hope that they might change but nope, the final stage is doubling down and making every wrong decision possible to isolate the subject of their obsession all in the name of love...
Tale as old as time...but hey, I haven't dropped this yet so, they must be doing something right (that thing being the art in this case)
