Fellow college student here. To be honest, I'm more concerned about the complete lack of new contents in manwhas, rather than people complaining because a story is shit. I think the porn industry just ruined it for us all with the dad-son/daughter fetish. Also, some readers just like it for the "forbidden", yk, some things you cannot indulge in real life so you do it through fiction (practice for which I personally disagree, but whatever).
