Okay I’ve just started reading this and wanted to put out my initial thoughts until chapter 5. Ngl I quite like the undereyebags guy so far, I mean there’s nothing inherently wrong with him and if he likes mc then of course he’d help him idk why mc calls it shallow when he’s the one keeping it purely transactional. Also ml is kinda interesting so far, no obvious red flags so far apart from, you know, him killing on command. He’s quite calculative but I just say that’s big brain thinking when territory, politics and war are up for discussion. He knows when to keep tact and be charming which, for someone coming over from reading the heart of the lotus, is refreshing as heck cuz for anyone who’s read that know, that ml is antisocial to the T
Any manga recs where the trope is lovers or friends to enemies? It can then be enemies to lovers.
I was reading don’t mix business with pleasure and just found the situation so refreshing? Usually in stories like these it kinda shows an ideal portrayal of love where once they are locked in they are in love 24/7. They just adore each other to the max. I quite liked the idea of how even two people completely devoted to each other at one point in their lives can somehow just fall apart. It feels kinda real and very angsty. I know escape journey is another good example.
