Ok, so I pretty much know that the Marie will end up with the golden haired prince because plot, but honestly I can't really see them together. There is no romance there for me. Maybe later, but right now? nope.
Definitely a no for me for the silver haired knight because of all that baggage judging from the minor flashbacks and I feel like he's too obligated to his job. Like I feel if he had to choose to save the young prince or marie he'd chose the young prince because he wouldn't want to repeat the past. Being friends, ok; being lovers? nope.
Black haired king? Okay. But we haven't seen much of him and I can't help but feel like she's all part of a plot of his and that even if they were to get together it will only develop into a respectful political marriage. Sure they'd like each other but they won't love one another. Honestly, out of the leading characters so far I feel like he'd be the most likely to succeed emotion wise. But maybe it appears that way to me because FL is trying her best to avoid the golden haired prince.
Who I'm truly rooting for (even though he's a side character, if you can even call him that) is the brown haired knight who always seems to be by the prince's side. (ch. 35 pg 3). Not sure if the romance is so lacking that I'm just coming up with random stories on the side, but just imagine it. They work for the same dude. They always meet each other when they go to work. She wont have to worry about him using her, killing her, etc, and they can start their romance like any other regular person. Maybe it all starts one day when he decides to open the door for her, and since she wasn't expecting it, their hands touch as they reach for the door knob. Throw in a few blushes. Maybe as she sits there attending the prince, her attention suddenly wanders over to the stoic knight always standing by his side... kyaa!!(≧∀≦) sure he might not have been made by angels, but maybe it's the way the artist draws the characters, he looks handsome enough for me!(≧∀≦) Now I know this ship isn't gonna sail cuz there's no ship in the first place ╥﹏╥ but that's not gonna stop me from swimming out to sea!(▰˘◡˘▰). And maybe once the story gets moving the golden hair prince ship will come save me lol. 'til then I'll just keep on swimming.
I agree with you on most of this, but, not so much with the bit about the black haired king. She has been trying to avoid him even more and even stated that he was more of a threat and it would be worse to get his attention, in I believe the fire investigation scene. She definitely doesn't view him in a good way and says that he is dangerous. Not to mention that he thought about kidnapping her, I can only really see him as a threat. Nothing else.
